The World Marathon Challenge is a unique running opportunity that allows participants to run seven marathons in seven consecutive days on seven continents. This challenge is best for experienced marathon runners and is an amazing feat being attempted by Dr. Smita Warrier!
What does the Sakhi for Girls Education organization do?
Sakhi for Girls Education is an organization that is designed to provide educational opportunities for girls in slums and rural areas of India, allowing them to overcome marginalization and be successful in ways never thought possible for those in poverty.
Why is Dr. Warrier running the World Marathon Challenge?
Dr. Smita Warrier was raised in India and moved to the Charlotte area over 20 years ago. She started Warrier Dentistry in 2007, seven years after her arrival in the States. With the World Marathon Challenge taking place in January of 2025, she is hoping to raise awareness for the Sakhi for Girls Education organization and raise $85,000 for this program.
